Westchester County Clerk Timothy C. Idoni and his staff joined other county employees and vendors at the Earth Day 2009 celebration at Kensico Dam on Sunday, April 19, 2009.  “Being able to put an ‘e’ in front of any document filed in the Office of the Westchester County Clerk means saving tax dollars and protecting the environment,” shared Idoni who has completed the following e-initiatives since taking office:

  • eWarrants – The e-filing of New York State Tax Warrants
  • Increased Access to Online Records through Daily Subscription Option
  • Added Online Maps to Online Records Inventory
  • eFiling of Tax Certiorari Proceedings
  • eFiling of Uniform Commercial Code Statements (UCCs)
  • eLiens – Partnered with Internal Revenue Service to test eLiens concept

And Idoni is currently working on a number of additional e-initiatives which will bring his office even further into the 21st century.  “Replacing paper filings with electronic filings increases accuracy and efficiency for both our customers and our staff,” continued Idoni who looks forward to launching his next e-initiative, eCorps, in May.  The New York State Department of State currently files approximately 8,000 paper corporations filings, including initial filings, amendments and terminations, with the Office of the County Clerk.  Once the eCorps project is launched, data and images will replace paper for approximately ninety five percent of the filings.
