The Notary Public Exam is a walk-in exam given regularly throughout New York State and based upon the information in the most recent Notary Public License Law Booklet. Please be sure to download a copy of the Notary Public License Law Booklet or visit the Office of the Westchester County Clerk, 110 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Room 330, in White Plains to obtain a copy of the Notary Public License Law Booklet free of charge.

Information about the exam, locations and schedule are available by clicking here and are updated in January and July of each year.  While the notary exam is administered in various locations throughout the state, there are two exams currently scheduled to be administered in Westchester County:

  • January 18, 2019
  • April 19, 2019

Be sure to bring the following:  A government issued identification such as a driver's license, a #2 pencil, and a $15.00 examination fee payable by check, money order, MasterCard or Visa. Cash will not be accepted.
