County Clerk Passport Day

11/16/2009

Have You Been Meaning to Apply For Your Passport?

County Clerk Idoni Makes It Easier By Hosting a Saturday Passport Day

WHITE PLAINS, NY:   Making plans for that special trip out of the country?  Taking advantage of great rates on Caribbean cruises in 2010?  It’s never too early to apply for your passport.  And because so many residents find it hard to visit our office during the week, County Clerk staff will be working from our mobile office on Saturday, December 5th from 10 am until 3 pm.  Our mobile office will be parked in front of the Richard J. Daronco Westchester County Courthouse located at 111 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. in White Plains.

“Our knowledgeable staff will answer questions about passports and the new regulations for land and sea travel”, stated Westchester County Clerk Timothy C. Idoni, whose office is the largest passport acceptance agency in this region.    “And we welcome families who want to apply together for their passports”.

Community outreach staff can assist visitors who wish to apply for a United States Passport, including having a photo taken.  A birth certificate and valid identification is often all an applicant needs.  However, there are special requirements for children under the age of 16, so be sure to call 995-3086 or visit http://www.westchesterclerk.com/ to read or view a video about the specific requirements for your situation.
