Recycle, Reduce, Reuse question/ suggestion
Recycle, Reduce, Reuse
Recycling isn’t an option, it’s the law. Westchester County recycled more than 800,000 tons, or 41 percent of the solid waste generated in the county last year – surpassing  the state's requirements. Recycling is a partnership between the county and its local governments -- and you. Find information on what more you can do. Recycling is good for the environment and saves taxpayers money. Of even greater importance, we must reduce our waste and  reuse many those items we no longer need. Westchester has programs dealing with paper and glass, cell phones, garden waste, hangers, mercury, electronics, household chemicals, tires and more. We have a special page for business recycling.
