Westchester County Clerk Tim Idoni is proud to facilitate safe and responsible firearm ownership and storage by making gun locks available free of charge in his White Plains office and at his mobile office which travels throughout Westchester County. The locks being distributed are Master Lock trigger gun locks (Product #90DSPT) which fit most handguns, rifles and shotguns. The locks were obtained by the Office of the Westchester County Clerk between 2000 and 2004 with funds from New York State and the County of Westchester. Westchester County Law requires that guns must either be locked so that they cannot be fired or be placed in locked storage. Please do not hesitate to visit our office to pick up your free gun lock.
