The Volunteer Center, in coordination with Westchester County’s Department of Emergency Services, is recruiting and training volunteers in emergency preparedness and response. These volunteers may be called into action should a large-scale disaster or public health emergency occur in Westchester.
The Westchester Community College Volunteer Corps was established by the Foundation in 1992 to help provide students with services that went beyond the College budget. Learn more here.

Volunteers are the heart and spirit of the Westchester County Parks system. Every year, thousands of civic-minded individuals, organizations and groups volunteer their time at our many wonderful parks.
Through our Citizen Volunteer Monitoring program, we keep an eye on the quality of our water. Volunteers, who we train, take water samples from streams and other waterways.
